About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving school located in Chelmsford, commencing in September or sooner. This permanent role offers a chance to shape the literary journey of secondary students, fostering a love for language and critical thinking in a dynamic classroom environment. You will be instrumental in delivering an engaging English curriculum, inspiring young minds to explore the richness of literature and develop their communication skills effectively.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver creative, high-quality English lessons across the secondary key stages.
• Assess student progress rigorously, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the English curriculum.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can excel.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings and school-wide professional development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure consistent student outcomes.

About You
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK and possess a relevant degree in English or a related field.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for English literature and language, eager to inspire secondary pupils.
• Possess excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to student well-being.
• Be a highly motivated and enthusiastic educator, ready to contribute positively to a collaborative team.
• Show a strong understanding of the National Curriculum for English and effective pedagogical approaches.
• Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced professionals (MPS/UPS).
