About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Biology Teacher to join an exceptional school in Bedfordshire, serving the East of England region. This permanent, long-term position, commencing in September 2026, offers the opportunity to inspire secondary-phase students across all key stages, teaching Science with a specialism in Biology. This role welcomes applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), as well as experienced educators at Main Pay Scale (MPS) and Upper Pay Scale (UPS) levels, seeking to make a significant impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective Biology lessons to secondary students, fostering a love for the subject.
* Plan and prepare comprehensive schemes of work and lesson plans that challenge and inspire every learner.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students accurately.
* Contribute to the continuous development of the Science curriculum, with a focus on Biology specialism.
* Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment where every student feels valued and can thrive.
* Participate actively in departmental meetings and wider school professional development initiatives.

About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant academic degree in Biology or a related scientific field.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for Biology and the ability to convey complex scientific concepts with clarity.
* Possess excellent classroom management skills and an unwavering commitment to student progress.
* Be adept at differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners within the classroom.
* Show a proactive approach to continuous professional development and collaborative teamwork.
* Have a strong understanding of the UK secondary curriculum for Science and the Biology specialism.
