About the Role
A forward-thinking school in Bedfordshire is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to join their primary setting, specialising in inclusive education. This vital role involves providing tailored, specialist assistance to a specific primary pupil with complex needs, which may include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, or sensory impairments. You will play a crucial part in fostering the pupil's development and engagement within a supportive educational environment, with opportunities for long-term, daily supply, or permanent engagement starting as soon as possible. This rewarding position offers a competitive daily rate ranging from £85 to £110 for your expertise and commitment to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent, dedicated 1:1 support to a primary pupil with a range of complex special educational needs.
* Establish a strong, positive rapport, promoting the pupil's confidence and independence.
* Implement individualised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets effectively.
* Collaborate closely with external therapists and school staff to ensure holistic support.
* Assist with personal care and mobility as required, maintaining dignity and respect.
* Contribute to creating an engaging and accessible learning environment for the pupil.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting children with complex needs, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* Show a genuine passion for making a significant difference in a child's educational journey.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building trust with pupils and professionals.
* Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to challenges.
* Have a solid understanding of EHCPs and their practical implementation within a school setting.
* Be adaptable and enthusiastic about contributing to a child's progress and well-being.
