About the Role

A progressive school is seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher to join its dynamic science department, with opportunities to also teach Chemistry, starting in September or sooner on a long-term permanent contract. This role offers the chance to cultivate a deep understanding and passion for scientific inquiry amongst pupils, guiding them through the complexities of the physical world and fostering critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Physics lessons across key stages.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress effectively, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Contribute to the continuous development of the science curriculum.
• Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages academic curiosity.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings and wider school initiatives.

About You
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Possess a strong academic background in Physics, with the ability to teach Chemistry up to Key Stage 4.
• Demonstrate a passion for science education and a commitment to pupil achievement.
• Exhibit excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Be a collaborative team player with a proactive approach to professional development.
• Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced professional, you will be dedicated to making a significant impact.
