About the Role
Join a highly regarded secondary school situated within a vibrant community in Northamptonshire, seeking an inspiring Design & Technology Teacher for a permanent, long-term contract commencing in September 2026. Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
* Cultivate a stimulating and safe workshop environment where students can explore and develop their practical abilities.
* Assess student work rigorously, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic progress.
* Manage and maintain workshop equipment, tools, and materials to ensure efficient and safe operation.
* Contribute actively to the development and enhancement of the DT curriculum and departmental initiatives.
* Participate fully in wider school activities, fostering a positive and collaborative learning culture.

About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong specialism in Design & Technology.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for your subject, inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential.
* Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners effectively.
* Maintain comprehensive subject knowledge across a range of DT disciplines, including resistant materials and product design.
* Show a deep commitment to ensuring every student makes significant academic and personal progress.
* Collaborate constructively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
