This is an exceptional opportunity to provide dedicated 1:1 SEN support for a secondary pupil with complex needs within a dedicated school in South London. You will play a crucial role in implementing EHCP targets, ensuring comprehensive curriculum access, and fostering the development of essential independence and life skills. We are seeking an individual for long-term, daily supply, or permanent engagement, offering a competitive daily rate between £85 and £110, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver highly individualised 1:1 support to a secondary pupil.
* Rigorously implement all targets outlined within the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Facilitate effective access to the full secondary curriculum.
* Actively promote the pupil's independence across all learning activities.
* Support the development of crucial life skills both within and beyond the classroom setting.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and relevant professionals to ensure holistic progress.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting pupils with complex needs, ideally in a secondary setting.
* Hold a strong understanding of EHCPs and their practical application.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
* Demonstrate a genuine commitment to fostering individual pupil progress and well-being.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute positively to a supportive school environment.
