You will be instrumental in helping the pupil access the curriculum, achieve targets outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and develop essential independence and life skills. This opportunity offers immediate start options. A rewarding daily rate of £85 - £110 is provided, with possibilities for long-term or permanent engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide highly individualised 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement and monitor targets as outlined within the pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Facilitate access to a broad and balanced curriculum, adapting resources as required.
* Actively promote the pupil's independence across all aspects of school life.
* Develop and encourage essential life skills to support future growth and confidence.
* Collaborate effectively with the class teacher and wider support staff team.
About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting young people with complex special educational needs, ideally within a secondary setting.
* A strong understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and their practical implementation is essential.
* You are genuinely passionate about making a significant difference to a pupil's educational journey and personal development.
* Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing for effective engagement with pupils, staff, and parents.
