Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging and effective Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum that promotes creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills.
• Assess pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Manage and maintain a safe and inspiring workshop environment, ensuring all equipment is used responsibly.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and departmental initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the overall educational experience.
About You
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a relevant degree in Design and Technology.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for your subject and a commitment to fostering pupil success.
• Possess excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire diverse learners.
• Be proficient in a range of DT specialisms, including resistant materials, product design, or graphics.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) ready to embark on a fulfilling career, or an experienced teacher (MPS/UPS) seeking a new challenge.
