Key Responsibilities
* Providing tailored support to secondary students on the autism spectrum within a specialist environment.
* Expertly facilitating and encouraging the development of social communication skills.
* Proactively managing and addressing students' sensory needs to create an optimal learning space.
* Supporting students to access the full breadth of the secondary curriculum successfully.
* Collaborating with teaching staff to implement individualised education plans effectively.
* Fostering an encouraging and inclusive atmosphere where every student feels valued.
About You
* Possess previous experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions, ideally within a secondary setting.
* Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the diverse needs and challenges faced by students on the autism spectrum.
* Exhibit exceptional communication skills, capable of building rapport with students, staff, and parents.
* Show a proactive and adaptable approach to managing varying student needs and situations.
* Possess strong emotional intelligence, patience, and resilience to thrive in a dynamic environment.
* Be genuinely committed to fostering independence and academic progress for every student.
