About the Role
A supportive school in the South East is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide tailored assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs. This vital role involves delivering individualised support, ensuring the pupil can access the curriculum effectively. You will play a crucial part in implementing Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, fostering the development of essential independence, and promoting vital life skills. Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex learning needs.
* Implement and monitor specific targets outlined in the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Facilitate the pupil's full access to the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Actively promote the development of independence and essential life skills.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and wider school professionals.
* Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment for the pupil.

About You
* Proven experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly complex needs.
* A strong understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and their implementation.
* Exceptional patience, empathy, and a resilient approach to challenges.
* The ability to build positive rapport and work effectively on a 1:1 basis.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A genuine passion for supporting pupil progress and fostering individual growth.
