Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to secondary pupils with SEMH needs.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
* Assist pupils in developing robust emotional regulation skills and effective coping mechanisms.
* Support the successful reintegration of pupils back into mainstream learning activities where appropriate.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and external professionals to develop individualised support plans.
* Foster strong, trusting relationships with pupils, acting as a consistent and encouraging mentor.
About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Demonstrate previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils in an SEN or specialist provision setting.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, resilience, and empathy in challenging situations.
* Hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport effectively with pupils and colleagues.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and able to respond calmly to diverse pupil requirements.
* Show a strong commitment to fostering pupils' personal growth and academic achievement.
