About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious school dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide tailored assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs. This vital role involves meticulously following EHCP targets, facilitating access to the curriculum, and actively promoting the pupil's independence and crucial life skills. We offer flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, or a permanent position, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £85 to £110, commencing as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated and consistent 1:1 support to a secondary pupil requiring specialised assistance.
* Implement and meticulously track progress against Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) objectives.
* Facilitate the pupil's full access to a broad and balanced curriculum, adapting resources as needed.
* Actively foster the development of independence, resilience, and self-advocacy in the pupil.
* Support the acquisition and application of essential life skills both within and beyond the classroom.
* Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic pupil development.

About You
* You possess proven experience providing 1:1 support to pupils with complex special educational needs.
* You demonstrate a deep understanding of secondary phase education and pupil development.
* You are adept at interpreting and implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) effectively.
* You are an empathetic and patient individual with a genuine passion for unlocking pupil potential.
* You exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong rapport with pupils and colleagues.
* You are a proactive and adaptable professional, committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
