We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive school community, offering a long-term permanent contract starting in September or potentially sooner. This fulfilling secondary teaching role welcomes applications from Early Career Teachers, as well as those on the Main Pay Scale or Upper Pay Scale, who are passionate about inspiring young minds across all scientific disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver dynamic science lessons across the secondary curriculum.
* Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress and attainment.
* Cultivate an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
* Contribute proactively to the ongoing development of the science department's schemes of work.
* Engage with school-wide initiatives and the broader educational community.
* Support students' academic and personal growth through pastoral care and guidance.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree in a scientific discipline.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for science education and fostering curiosity in young people.
* Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire learners.
* Show a commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
* Value collaboration with colleagues and contributing positively to a team environment.
* Have a strong understanding of current educational practices within secondary science.
