A progressive school in the beautiful Berkshire area is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant primary team. This crucial role involves providing tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, fostering an inclusive and enriching learning environment. We are looking for individuals available for a variety of contract types, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, offering a competitive daily rate of £95 - £110.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to primary pupils with diverse special educational needs.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies effectively.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
* Assist in adapting learning materials and activities to meet specific pupil requirements.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to regular assessments and reviews.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating atmosphere where every child can thrive.
About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting the educational journey of primary-aged children with SEN.
* Demonstrable experience working with children with special educational needs within a primary setting is highly desirable.
* An empathetic and patient approach is essential, coupled with excellent communication skills.
* You are proactive, adaptable, and committed to making a tangible difference in pupils' lives.
* Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents is key.
* A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience, would be beneficial.
