About the Role
A dedicated school in the South East is actively seeking a compassionate and proactive 1:1 SEN Support Assistant. This vital position involves providing tailored assistance to a primary-aged pupil with complex needs, which may encompass Autism Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, or sensory impairments. You will foster a supportive learning environment, empowering a young person to achieve their full potential within a nurturing educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement individualised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets effectively.
* Cultivate a strong, positive rapport with the pupil, understanding their unique communication and learning styles.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external therapists to ensure a holistic approach.
* Adapt learning materials and environments to meet specific sensory and cognitive requirements.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to regular reviews and future planning discussions.

About You
* Experience supporting pupils with complex SEN, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments, is essential.
* A genuine passion for inclusive education and fostering individual growth defines your approach.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed, adaptable to various stakeholders.
* You are proactive, patient, and resilient, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
* The ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team is highly valued.
* Relevant qualifications or demonstrable training in SEN support would be highly advantageous for this role.
