About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Design Technology Teacher to join a progressive school located in the heart of Bedfordshire, East of England. This long-term, permanent contract offers an exciting opportunity for an exceptional educator to inspire secondary pupils in all aspects of Design Technology from September 2026, contributing to a vibrant and innovative curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and inspiring Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Plan and prepare creative and challenging schemes of work that foster pupil curiosity.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
* Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment within the DT workshops.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and departmental initiatives.
* Collaborate with colleagues to continuously enhance the Design Technology curriculum.

About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Design Technology or a related field.
* Possess a genuine passion for Design Technology and its diverse disciplines.
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
* Have a proven ability to inspire and motivate secondary pupils of all abilities.
* Be committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
* Applications are welcome from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced educators (MPS/UPS).
