About the Role
A progressive school in the Amersham area of Buckinghamshire is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to join their nurturing primary environment. This vital role involves providing tailored, individualised support for a pupil with complex needs, which may include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, or sensory impairments. We are looking for someone eager to make a significant impact, offering both daily supply and long-term opportunities, with a view to a permanent contract for the right candidate, commencing as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Cultivate a strong, trusting rapport with the designated pupil, fostering a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere.
* Diligently implement personalised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, adapting strategies to meet specific needs.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers, therapists, and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to pupil development.
* Provide essential personal care support and assistance with mobility as required, always maintaining dignity and respect.
* Monitor and accurately record pupil progress and achievements, contributing to regular review meetings.
* Actively contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for the pupil and wider school community.

About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and disabilities.
* Demonstrable experience working with children with complex needs, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience when facing daily challenges.
* An outstanding communicator, able to engage effectively with pupils, staff, and external professionals.
* Committed to fostering independence and celebrating every small achievement.
* Hold a relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent experience.
