About the Role
A well-established school in the Buckinghamshire area is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This rewarding position involves providing crucial assistance to primary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a specialist setting. You will play a vital part in fostering a positive learning environment, helping young learners to thrive, with opportunities for various contract lengths including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent arrangements, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours calmly and constructively.
* Mentor individual pupils, helping them develop coping mechanisms and build self-esteem.
* Foster strong, positive relationships with pupils, earning their trust and encouraging engagement.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
* Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging activities designed to meet diverse learning needs.

About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting the well-being and academic progress of primary pupils.
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to connect with pupils and colleagues.
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach is essential when navigating complex situations.
* You are committed to promoting an inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
* The ability to work flexibly and adapt to the varying needs of pupils and the school community is important.
