Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver innovative and effective Biology lessons to students of all abilities.
* Create an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes active learning and scientific inquiry.
* Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to facilitate academic growth.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Science curriculum and departmental resources.
* Participate fully in school life, including professional development and extracurricular activities.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and behaviour in line with school policies.
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Biology or a closely related scientific discipline.
* Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and achieving positive student outcomes.
* Possess a genuine passion for Biology and the ability to inspire students with your subject knowledge.
* Be able to teach Biology across the secondary age range, with a strong capability or specialism in Chemistry.
* Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to creating a supportive learning environment.
* Be a collaborative and communicative team player, dedicated to continuous professional development.
* Applications are warmly welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced educators (MPS/UPS).
