We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to empower disaffected learners and guide them towards positive educational outcomes. You will be instrumental in re-engaging young people, fostering their academic growth, and supporting their emotional well-being every day.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a modified secondary curriculum to students with SEMH needs.
* Implement effective and positive behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and focused learning environment.
* Cultivate strong, positive relationships with students, building trust and promoting their self-esteem.
* Assess individual student progress regularly, adapting teaching methodologies to meet diverse learning styles and challenges.
* Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff and external professionals, to ensure holistic student support.
* Develop and review personalised learning plans, ensuring they align with student needs and educational goals.
About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent relevant teaching qualification.
* You possess demonstrable experience working effectively with secondary-aged students who have SEMH needs.
* Your behaviour management skills are exceptional, underpinned by a patient, understanding, and firm approach.
* You are passionate about making a significant difference to the lives of vulnerable young people.
* You can adapt your teaching style flexibly to accommodate a wide range of academic abilities and social challenges.
