About the Role
A progressive school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide crucial assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs. This vital position involves delivering bespoke support, aligning with the pupil’s EHCP targets, to ensure full access to the curriculum. You will play a key role in fostering independence and developing essential life skills for the pupil. We offer a competitive daily rate of £85 - £110, with opportunities for long-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver personalised, one-to-one support to a secondary school pupil.
* Effectively implement and review strategies derived from the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan.
* Facilitate the pupil's engagement and access across a broad secondary curriculum.
* Actively promote and encourage the pupil's growing independence.
* Support the development and application of practical life skills.
* Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of the pupil's progress and observations.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience in supporting young people with complex special educational needs.
* A strong understanding of EHCPs and their practical application is essential.
* You are adept at tailoring support methods to meet individual learning styles and requirements.
* Candidates should exhibit patience, empathy, and resilience in their approach.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are paramount for this role.
