An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive school in Ascot, Berkshire, specialising in primary education. This challenging role involves providing essential support to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and complex learning needs, including those with ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. You will play a crucial part in fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, working across 1:1 and small group settings. We are seeking professionals ready to start as soon as possible, with various contract options available, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent positions, offering a daily rate of £90-£115.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to primary pupils with complex learning needs, adapting strategies effectively.
* Facilitate learning within small group settings, promoting engagement and understanding for children with diverse requirements.
* Implement individualised Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to support pupils' specific developmental and academic goals.
* Assist in creating a stimulating and accessible learning environment that addresses sensory and communication needs.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and therapists to monitor pupil progress and adjust support strategies as required.
* Encourage pupils' independence and social development, fostering confidence in their abilities.
About You
* You possess proven experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, particularly ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs is essential.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong rapport with children and colleagues.
* The ability to adapt quickly to varying pupil needs and classroom situations is crucial for success in this dynamic environment.

* A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning or a related field is highly desirable.
