About the Role
A highly regarded secondary school in Berkshire is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their team. This pivotal role involves managing classrooms and ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular teacher. You will be responsible for supervising pre-set work across various subjects and age groups, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. This flexible position offers a range of contract options, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent possibilities, providing a superb opportunity to make a tangible impact on student engagement and progress.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, primarily across Key Stage 3 and 4.
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons and instructional materials effectively to maintain learning momentum.
* Manage classroom behaviour and uphold a positive, respectful learning environment for all pupils.
* Ensure students remain on task and focused on their independent work throughout the lesson.
* Provide clear instructions and offer appropriate support to students as needed.
* Report back to relevant staff regarding student progress, behaviour, and any issues encountered during cover.

About You
* You possess excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
* You have prior experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
* You demonstrate effective behaviour management techniques and a confident classroom presence.
* You are adaptable, resilient, and proactive in a dynamic school environment.
* You hold a genuine passion for supporting student learning and holistic development.
* You are committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
