This pivotal role involves managing classrooms and ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular teacher. You will be responsible for supervising pre-set work across various subjects and age groups, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities
* Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, primarily across Key Stage 3 and 4.
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons and instructional materials effectively to maintain learning momentum.
* Manage classroom behaviour and uphold a positive, respectful learning environment for all pupils.
* Ensure students remain on task and focused on their independent work throughout the lesson.
* Provide clear instructions and offer appropriate support to students as needed.
* Report back to relevant staff regarding student progress, behaviour, and any issues encountered during cover.

* You have prior experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
