About the Role
At a progressive school, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Science Teacher to inspire the next generation of scientists, starting this September or sooner on a permanent, long-term basis. This pivotal role involves fostering a deep understanding and passion for scientific inquiry amongst secondary students, contributing significantly to a vibrant and forward-thinking educational community where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential. We are seeking an individual eager to shape young minds and drive academic excellence within a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons across the secondary curriculum.
• Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to facilitate learning.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and curiosity.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater for diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate effectively with departmental colleagues to enhance the Science provision.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities or initiatives.

About You
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a relevant degree in a Science discipline.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for Science and a commitment to inspiring young learners.
• Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students effectively.
• Be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a supportive start, or an experienced practitioner (MPS/UPS).
• Possess a collaborative spirit, eager to contribute to a thriving departmental team.
• Show a proactive approach to continuous professional development and educational innovation.
