We are seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join an inclusive primary school in North London, focusing on specialist education. This vital role involves teaching small groups of pupils, all with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), within a supportive classroom setting. You will be responsible for adapting the national curriculum to meet diverse individual needs, fostering an environment where every child can thrive and achieve their potential. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with highly skilled teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure a holistic approach to pupil development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver dynamic and differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs.
* Thoughtfully adapt the national curriculum to suit various learning styles and abilities.
* Develop and implement individualised learning plans, regularly assessing pupil progress.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and multi-disciplinary therapeutic teams.
* Maintain open and proactive communication with families regarding pupil achievements and progress.
* Cultivate a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued.
About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Demonstrable experience or a strong passion for working within a specialist SEN primary setting is essential.
* You exhibit a proven ability to effectively differentiate learning to address complex and diverse needs.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are crucial for this collaborative role.
* A steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils underpins your practice.
