This is an exciting opportunity to join a ambitious school in the Slough area, seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher for their specialist primary provision. You will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of young learners with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The position involves building strong therapeutic relationships, effectively managing challenging behaviour, and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. We welcome applications for long-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts, with an immediate start available for the right candidate, offering a competitive daily rate of £150-£250.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver creative, age-appropriate lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and productive classroom atmosphere.
* Foster strong therapeutic relationships with pupils, supporting their social and emotional development.
* Collaborate closely with support staff and external agencies to ensure holistic pupil care.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
* Contribute positively to the school's inclusive culture and vibrant community.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable experience working with primary-aged pupils.
* Have a genuine passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Exhibit exceptional resilience, empathy, and patience when navigating complex situations.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
* Capable of differentiating lessons to meet a wide range of individual learning requirements.
