About the Role
A dedicated school is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join our vibrant secondary team on a long-term, permanent contract starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire pupils in a mainstream setting, delivering comprehensive DT lessons across various key stages. You will play a crucial role in shaping young minds, fostering creativity, and developing essential practical skills within a supportive educational environment, with salary paid to scale.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
* Maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating workshop environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
* Contribute actively to the ongoing development and review of the DT curriculum.
* Foster an appreciation for design, innovation, and practical problem-solving among pupils.
* Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the wider school community.

About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a relevant degree in Design and Technology or a related field.
* You are an Early Career Teacher (ECT), experienced Main Pay Scale (MPS) teacher, or an Upper Pay Scale (UPS) teacher with a proven track record of excellent practice.
* You demonstrate a genuine passion for Design and Technology and the ability to convey this enthusiasm to pupils.
* You possess strong classroom management skills and can create an inclusive and productive learning atmosphere.
* You are committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
* You are a collaborative team player, eager to contribute to a thriving departmental and school culture.
