This long-term, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to shape the future of secondary education, commencing in September 2026. We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers, as well as experienced professionals at MPS or UPS level, with remuneration paid to scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective Design and Technology lessons across key stages.
* Plan and prepare innovative schemes of work that inspire creativity and technical skill.
* Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to foster development.
* Maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment within the workshop and classroom.
* Contribute actively to departmental initiatives and extracurricular activities.
* Uphold the school's high standards for behaviour, achievement, and well-being.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant subject specialism in Design and Technology.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for inspiring students in practical and creative disciplines.
* Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive education.
* Be adept at utilising a range of teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning needs.
* Show a proactive approach to continuous professional development and collaborative practice.
* Possess strong communication skills, capable of building rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
