We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. This vital role involves providing comprehensive support to secondary-aged pupils with complex special educational needs within a specialist provision. You will play a crucial part in fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere and promoting individual student development. We are open to discussing various contract types, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, or even permanent positions, with an immediate start available for the right candidate, offering a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and group support to secondary-aged pupils with diverse and complex SEN requirements.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff to assist in the delivery of an adapted and accessible curriculum.
* Encourage and develop students' independence, life skills, and self-confidence within the school setting.
* Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources, ensuring they meet individual pupil needs.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to regular assessments and reviews.
* Support pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and extracurricular activities, promoting positive social interaction.
About You
* Possess previous experience supporting young people with complex special educational needs, preferably within a secondary phase.
* Demonstrate a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with diverse learning profiles.
* Hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Be adaptable and resourceful, able to respond effectively to varying student needs and classroom dynamics.
