Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCo to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Reading, Berkshire. This is a temp-to-perm position, offering a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to secure a long-term role within a supportive environment. The position is available to start as soon as possible or from September.
Key Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the day-to-day implementation of the school's SEN policy.
• Providing guidance and support to all staff working with students with SEN.
• Managing and maintaining the SEN register.
• Liaising with external agencies and professionals to ensure appropriate support for students.
• Tracking student progress and reporting on SEN provision.
• Advising on the deployment of the SEN budget and resources.
About You:
• Hold QTS or equivalent qualification.
• Have experience working as a SENCo or in a similar leadership role within SEN.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
• Be an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Demonstrate strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Be passionate about supporting the needs of all learners.
