About the Role
A flourishing school in South London is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide vital, tailored assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs. This immediate start role offers an exceptional opportunity to make a profound impact on a young person's educational journey and overall development. You will be instrumental in fostering a supportive learning environment, ensuring the pupil can access the curriculum effectively and achieve their personal best. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke 1:1 support to a secondary pupil requiring intensive assistance.
* Implement and track targets outlined within the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Facilitate the pupil's access to a broad and balanced secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Champion the development of crucial independence and life skills, preparing the pupil for future success.
* Collaborate proactively with class teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach.
* Provide regular, insightful feedback on pupil progress, challenges, and achievements to relevant stakeholders.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, particularly complex requirements.
* Have a proven track record of working effectively with secondary-aged pupils in an educational setting.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to pupil well-being and progress.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Be adept at working autonomously, taking initiative, and adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
* Hold a genuine passion for making a tangible difference in the lives of young people facing educational challenges.
