We are seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to inspire and guide small groups of pupils, all with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including talented Teaching Assistants and therapists, alongside forging strong partnerships with families to ensure holistic support.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver highly engaging and differentiated lessons for small primary groups with diverse Special Educational Needs.
* Tailor the national curriculum effectively to address specific EHCP targets for individual pupils.
* Implement robust assessment strategies to monitor pupil progress and inform future planning.
* Collaborate proactively with TAs, therapists, and external agencies to provide comprehensive pupil support.
* Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring transparent communication regarding pupil development.
* Contribute to the development of an enriching and safe learning environment that promotes pupil well-being and academic achievement.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a demonstrable passion for special educational needs education.
* Demonstrate proven experience in supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of SEN, ideally within a specialist setting.
* Exhibit a deep understanding of EHCPs and the ability to translate these into effective classroom practice.
* Show excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, colleagues, and families.
* Be adaptable, resilient, and committed to continuous professional development in SEN pedagogy.
