About the Role
Join a thriving school in the South East dedicated to inclusive education, seeking a compassionate and proactive 1:1 SEN Support Assistant. This vital role involves providing dedicated support to a secondary pupil with complex needs, fostering their academic and personal development. You will work closely with the pupil, facilitating access to the curriculum and promoting independence. We are looking for someone available for an immediate start, offering flexible contract options including long-term, daily supply, or permanent engagement.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement and contribute to the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets effectively.
* Facilitate the pupil's full access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
* Support the development of crucial independence and life skills.
* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment tailored to individual needs.
* Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure holistic pupil progress.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting pupils with complex special educational needs.
* A strong understanding of EHCPs and their practical application is essential.
* You are dedicated to promoting independence and personal growth in young people.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable effective collaboration with pupils and staff.
* You demonstrate resilience, patience, and a genuinely nurturing approach.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development within an educational setting is highly valued.
