SEN Class Teacher

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join a supportive primary school environment. You will be responsible for teaching small groups of primary pupils, each with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), adapting the national curriculum to meet their diverse learning needs. This role involves close collaboration with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure a holistic and pupil-centred approach. We offer various contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent placements, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for primary pupils with special educational needs.
* Effectively manage a small, nurturing classroom environment.
* Implement and review individualised Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to pupils, parents, and colleagues.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning atmosphere where every child can thrive.
About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
* You possess proven experience working with primary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs.
* You demonstrate a strong understanding of EHCPs and the ability to adapt the primary national curriculum effectively.
* You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
* You approach teaching with patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN.
* Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), as well as those on the Main Pay Scale (MPS) and Upper Pay Scale (UPS).
