This vital role involves supporting the student's educational journey, ensuring access to the curriculum, and fostering their independence. We are looking for someone available to start as soon as possible, with contract options ranging from long-term to daily supply or permanent, offering a daily rate of £85 - £110.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated, one-to-one support to a secondary-aged pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement and monitor individualised education plans (EHCP targets) effectively.
* Facilitate the pupil's access to a broad and balanced curriculum within the classroom setting.
* Encourage and develop the pupil's independence across various school activities.
* Foster the growth of essential life skills to support future development.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure holistic provision.
About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting young people with complex special educational needs.
* You are proficient in understanding and implementing Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* You exhibit a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to your work.
* You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration.
* You are passionate about making a tangible difference to a student's learning and development.
* You hold a valid enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or are willing to apply for one.
