About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to join an ambitious school, offering invaluable support to secondary students within a specialist autism spectrum setting. This vital role involves fostering a nurturing environment where young people can thrive and engage fully with their learning journey. We are interested in individuals available for various contract options, ready to start as soon as possible, contributing to our vibrant educational community.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored assistance to secondary students on the autism spectrum within a specialist setting.
* Facilitate effective social communication and interaction among students.
* Implement strategies to manage sensory needs and create a supportive learning environment.
* Assist students in accessing and engaging with the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support individual learning plans.
* Promote independence and build confidence in students through positive reinforcement.

About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with special educational needs, particularly ASD.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to diverse student needs.
* Exhibit a proactive and patient approach to managing complex learning environments.
* Have prior experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally within an SEN or specialist setting.
* Be highly organised, reliable, and capable of working effectively as part of a dedicated team.
* Hold relevant qualifications or a strong commitment to continuous professional development in SEN.
