Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging and effective Physics lessons across the secondary curriculum, catering to diverse learning needs.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student understanding and achievement in Physics.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student attainment and progress effectively, providing constructive feedback.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community and participate in extracurricular Science initiatives.
• Maintain a stimulating and well-organised classroom environment conducive to active learning.
• Collaborate productively with colleagues in the Science department to share best practice and resources.
About You
• Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Physics or a related scientific field.
• Demonstrate a strong passion for Physics and the ability to inspire students of all abilities and backgrounds.
• Be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) ready for a supportive start, or an experienced educator (MPS/UPS) seeking a fresh challenge.
• Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to student well-being and academic success.
• Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Science, with a specialism in Physics and ideally Chemistry.
• Be a collaborative team player with effective communication skills and a proactive approach to teaching and learning.
