An exceptional school within a primary setting is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide essential, focused assistance to a pupil with complex needs. This vital role involves supporting a specific child who may present with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or sensory impairments. You will play a crucial part in fostering their development and ensuring their educational journey is positive and enriching. Opportunities are available on a daily supply, long-term, or permanent basis, offering competitive daily rates for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Build and maintain a strong, positive rapport with the pupil, fostering trust and engagement.
* Implement and meticulously track progress against Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Collaborate effectively with external therapists and specialists to ensure integrated support.
* Assist with the pupil's personal care requirements and promote their independence.
* Support the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
