We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join a well-established school in the West Midlands. This is a long-term, permanent contract commencing in September 2026, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a thriving science department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Physics lessons across the secondary phase, inspiring students to achieve their full potential in this fascinating subject. You will be instrumental in fostering a deep understanding and passion for scientific inquiry among our pupils.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver high-quality, inspiring Physics lessons across all secondary key stages.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
* Create and maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment for all pupils.
* Actively contribute to the ongoing development of the science curriculum and departmental initiatives.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching methods.
* Participate in extracurricular activities and wider school events to enrich student experience.
About You
* You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a strong degree in Physics or a related scientific discipline.
* Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced colleagues at MPS/UPS levels.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for Physics and the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
* Possess excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
* Show a dedication to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching.
* Have a collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team.
