About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring Design and Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking school, dedicated to fostering creativity and practical expertise among its students. This permanent, long-term position, commencing in September 2026, offers an exceptional opportunity to shape the minds of secondary students, guiding them through engaging projects and innovative design challenges within a supportive academic environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver dynamic and engaging Design and Technology lessons across all secondary key stages, sparking student curiosity and enthusiasm.
* Challenge students to develop innovative design solutions and practical skills through a diverse range of materials and technologies.
* Develop and implement a creative, relevant, and rigorous curriculum that prepares students for future challenges and opportunities.
* Assess student progress effectively, providing constructive and timely feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
* Contribute proactively to a collaborative and innovative departmental team, sharing best practices and resources.
* Maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating workshop environment where students can experiment and create confidently.

About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrate a robust understanding of current Design and Technology pedagogy.
* You have proven experience in teaching Design and Technology at secondary level, or as an Early Career Teacher, you show exceptional promise and dedication.
* Your passion for inspiring students in design, engineering, and practical problem-solving is evident in your approach.
* You are committed to continuous professional development, actively seeking opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.
* You exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
* You embrace a proactive and collaborative approach, eager to contribute positively to both the department and the wider school community.
