A forward-thinking school is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support secondary pupils within its specialist provision. This vital role involves providing comprehensive behaviour support, fostering emotional regulation, and facilitating the reintegration of young people back into their learning journey. We are offering flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent placements, with an attractive daily rate of £95 - £120 for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote a calm and productive learning environment.
* Guide pupils in developing coping mechanisms and improving their emotional regulation skills.
* Support pupils in successfully re-engaging with their academic and social development.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff to deliver a differentiated and inclusive curriculum.
* Contribute to the development and review of individualised education plans where appropriate.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
* Exhibit a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of secondary-aged pupils.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
