We are seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to join a inclusive school in the Maidenhead area, specialising in primary education. This vital role involves providing expert support within a specialist ASD provision, implementing structured routines, sensory strategies, and communication support to primary pupils on the autism spectrum. We welcome applications for various contract types, including Long Term, Daily Supply, Short Term, or Permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored support plans for primary pupils on the autism spectrum.
* Implement structured routines and sensory strategies effectively throughout the day.
* Facilitate communication and social interaction opportunities for pupils.
* Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment for every child.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and therapists to achieve pupil goals.
* Promote independence and self-help skills in daily activities.
About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting primary pupils with ASD.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of autism spectrum conditions.
* Exhibit patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to learning.
* Be adaptable and resilient in responding to individual pupil needs.
* Hold relevant experience in an SEN or primary school setting.
* Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
