About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected school, contributing to its vibrant educational community. We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to manage classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning for all pupils. This general cover role offers flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or even permanent placements, providing an excellent daily rate between £145 and £160. You will play a crucial part in maintaining a productive and supportive atmosphere for pupils across the secondary phase.

Key Responsibilities
* Effectively manage classroom behaviour, upholding school policies and procedures.
* Deliver pre-set work to pupils, ensuring tasks are understood and completed.
* Foster a positive learning environment where all pupils feel supported and engaged.
* Address immediate pupil queries and provide appropriate guidance.
* Report any significant issues or concerns to the relevant member of staff promptly.
* Supervise pupils outside of lessons during allocated duty times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

About You
* You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with pupils and staff.
* You are naturally organised and proactive, capable of managing a busy classroom effectively.
* You demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting young people's educational journey.
* You have a calm and authoritative presence, able to manage classroom dynamics positively.
* You are adaptable and resilient, thriving in a dynamic school environment.
* Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils in an educational setting is highly desirable.
