Key Responsibilities
* Provide compassionate and effective direct support to primary-aged pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* Assist pupils with personal care needs, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
* Facilitate and lead engaging sensory stimulation activities designed to promote development and interaction.
* Support the implementation of individualised therapy programmes under the guidance of specialists.
* Collaborate proactively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure holistic pupil progress.
* Help to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
About You
* You possess prior experience supporting individuals, particularly children, with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* A genuine passion for advocating for and working with primary-aged pupils who have complex special educational needs is essential.
* You demonstrate a sensitive and professional approach to providing personal care assistance.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to connect effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
* You are adaptable, resilient, and proactive in responding to the diverse and evolving needs of pupils.
* A strong commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare underpins your practice.
