This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a well-established school located in Berkshire, within the South East region. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide vital classroom cover across various subjects within our vibrant secondary phase. This role is crucial in maintaining continuity of learning for our students, ensuring a positive and productive educational environment in the absence of their regular teacher. The position offers a competitive daily rate of £145 - £160, with flexible contract options including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and potentially permanent arrangements, commencing as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
* Effectively manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
* Deliver pre-planned work to students, maintaining lesson momentum.
* Respond to student queries and provide appropriate support to facilitate understanding.
* Uphold the school's high standards and policies in all interactions.
* Foster a positive and engaging environment that promotes student learning and wellbeing.
About You
* Possess previous experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
* Demonstrate excellent behaviour management strategies and techniques.
* Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students and staff.
