We are seeking a highly motivated and inspiring Science Teacher to join a ambitious secondary school located in the South East, specifically within Essex. This is a long-term, permanent opportunity commencing in September 2026, offering a fantastic chance to embed yourself within a vibrant educational community. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Science lessons across the Key Stages, fostering a deep curiosity and understanding of scientific principles among all pupils. We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), as well as experienced professionals at MPS and UPS levels who are passionate about nurturing future scientific minds.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver challenging and stimulating Science lessons to diverse groups of students.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and intellectual curiosity.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and review of the Science curriculum, ensuring its relevance and effectiveness.
* Participate fully in departmental meetings, training sessions, and the wider school life.
* Promote high standards of behaviour and academic achievement across all teaching and learning activities.
About You
* You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
* You will possess a strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Science, with any specialism being highly valued.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with students and colleagues.
* You are adept at utilising a range of teaching methodologies to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
* You are committed to your own professional growth and development within the field of education.
* You exhibit strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to classroom management.
