About the Role
A progressive school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide personalised assistance to a primary-aged pupil with complex needs, potentially including ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment. This vital role involves delivering tailored support to facilitate the pupil's learning and development within a nurturing environment. We are considering candidates for immediate starts, with options for long-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts, offering a competitive daily rate ranging from £85 to £110.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent and dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Establish and maintain a strong, positive rapport with the pupil, fostering trust and engagement.
* Successfully implement individualised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets and strategies.
* Liaise effectively with external therapists and specialists to integrate their guidance into daily support.
* Assist with the pupil’s personal care, communication, and mobility needs as required.
* Contribute to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for the pupil.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting children with complex needs, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* A genuine passion for Special Educational Needs and a commitment to inclusive education drives your practice.
* You demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
* You are proactive, adaptable, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with pupils, staff, and external professionals.
* You are dedicated to promoting the welfare and academic progress of every child you support.
