About the Role
A well-established school in the East Midlands is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant. This vital role involves providing comprehensive, personalised assistance to a primary-aged pupil with complex needs, including ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment. You will work closely with this individual, fostering their development and ensuring their learning journey is fully supported. This opportunity offers diverse contract options, including long-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, with an immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities
* Offer focused 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Diligently implement and monitor targets outlined within the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Cultivate a positive and trusting rapport with the pupil to facilitate engagement and progress.
* Collaborate effectively with external therapists and professionals to integrate specialist strategies.
* Facilitate the pupil's access to the curriculum and participation in school activities.
* Promote the pupil's independence and personal development within a nurturing environment.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting children with complex special educational needs, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* Your approach is exceptionally patient, empathetic, and consistently understanding.
* You are adept at building meaningful relationships with pupils and their families.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills are hallmarks of your professional practice.
* A proactive and adaptable mindset enables you to respond effectively to individual needs.
* You hold an unwavering commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.
