About the Role
Are you an engaging professional with a passion for supporting pupil learning and maintaining an excellent classroom atmosphere? A progressive secondary school is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their dynamic team, ensuring continuity of education across various subjects during teacher absence. This pivotal role involves managing groups of pupils in the absence of their regular teacher, facilitating learning, and upholding the school's positive ethos throughout the day. You will play a crucial part in ensuring a productive and safe environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise secondary-aged pupils during lessons, ensuring engagement with set work.
* Effectively manage classroom behaviour, promoting a respectful and focused learning environment.
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, guiding pupils through tasks and activities.
* Respond to pupil queries, offering support and encouragement where appropriate.
* Maintain accurate records of pupil attendance and any notable incidents during lessons.
* Safeguard the well-being of all pupils under your supervision throughout the school day.

About You
* You possess previous experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
* Your classroom management skills are robust, enabling you to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
* You are adaptable and resilient, thriving in a varied and fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills allow you to interact effectively with pupils and staff alike.
* A proactive approach means you can anticipate needs and take initiative within the classroom.
