This is an exciting opportunity for an adaptable education professional to join a flourishing school community in Maidenhead, Berkshire. We are seeking a dedicated Secondary Supply Teacher to provide excellent cover across various subjects and year groups, supporting pupil learning and maintaining a positive educational environment. This flexible role offers a range of contract options, including daily supply, short-term assignments, long-term placements, and even permanent positions for the right individual, with competitive rates from £145 to £160 per day, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Effectively deliver pre-planned lessons across diverse subjects to secondary pupils.
* Maintain a positive and productive learning atmosphere, managing classroom behaviour proactively.
* Ensure all students are engaged and on-task, fostering their academic progress.
* Adhere strictly to all school policies and procedures, upholding high standards.
* Provide clear and concise handovers for the returning class teacher, detailing progress and any incidents.
* Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, responding positively to changing timetables and school needs.
About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary setting.
* Exceptional classroom management skills are essential for maintaining effective learning environments.
* You demonstrate strong communication abilities, engaging effectively with pupils and staff alike.
* A proactive and adaptable approach to different school settings and challenges is key.
* You are reliable, punctual, and committed to contributing positively to school life.
* You hold an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.
